Dr. Gomez, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, received his medical degree from the University of Panama and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Montreal General Hospital/McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He did clinical and research fellowships at hospitals in Montreal and at New England Medical Center/Tufts University in Boston.
Dr. Gomez is certified by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. Dr. Gomez treats a wide range of cardiovascular diseases with particular attention to prevention and management (both medical and interventional) of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and valvular heart disease. He also has a particular interest in nuclear cardiac stress testing.
He is fluent in English and Spanish and practices at the Cardiovascular Center of South Florida, Baptist Hospital of Miami and Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute.
